Sayyed Nadeem Kazmi (SNK) is a British-Pakistani lawyer and international adviser to charities, thought leaders, and governments. An advocate of the Lahore High Court, he is founder of The Resolution International, a cross-jurisdictional law and management consultancy specialising in mediation, charities, public relations and executive management. He was previously chief representative to the UN for a global charity and is a former senior envoy of Prince Hasan of Jordan, through whom he played a key role in establishing the Dialogue of Civilizations process, launched at the UN by then Secretary-General Kofi Annan. Nadeem's groundbreaking human rights work has informed Amnesty International, the UN (through UN Special Rapporteurs), and the UK Inter-Parliamentary Human Rights Group, among others.
SNK has been a member of many advisory boards and has helped establish numerous initiatives throughout his 35-year career, which has included working with rock band The Doors drummer and activist John Densmore on the rights of incarcerated youth in US prisons, as senior strategic adviser to the Park 51 project in New York, and lead election observer during the 2010 Sudanese elections.
He was awarded a European Commission Fellowship in 1995 and is in Georgetown University's original list of the World's 500 Most Influential Muslims. His articles have appeared in international newspapers including The Guardian and Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, and he has published essays and chapters, including for SOAS Yearbook of Islamic and Middle Eastern Law, Carnegie Endowment's Human Rights Dialogue, and the Heythrop Institute, University of London.
